Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
My fiction for children is meant to provide at least as much joy to the reader as it has for me to write it. I have great fun, especially when playing with my animal friends.
Let me introduce you to two of my favorite creatures, Three Whiskers, the mouse, and Swivelhead, a Great Horned Owl. Three Whiskers has a high, squeaky voice. Swivelhead’s voice is very deep.
Three Whiskers: Who are you calling a creature? I ain’t no creature. I’m a field mouse, six paws high and fifteen paws long, not counting my tail.
Swivelhead: I would not count your tail either, rodent.
TW: Don’t start with me, featherhead.
S: Feathers cover my entire body not just my head. They cover my tail too, which is
more than I can say for your fur.
That’s enough, you two. Our visitors won’t realize that you’re friends if you don’t start acting like it. Tell us, what do you two appreciate about each other?
S: My little furry friend is very resourceful. He can make something out of nothing.
TW: And flying featherball here is a lot easier to be around now that he’s a vegetarian and
stopped eating meat.
It wasn’t always that way, was it?
TW: No. And that was creepy.
Why don’t you two tell our visitors how you met? Readers, click “For Children” to find out. And Parents, click “For Parents” for a few words about reading with your child.
